Hi, I’m Ali

I’m a Mum of two boys and I’ve been where you are.

The day to day merry go round of chaos and control, yelling and guilt trips were a typical part of my experience as a mother in the early years.

It wasn't until I stumbled upon a podcast that introduced me to a whole new concept— ‘Matrescence’ – and it all started to make sense.

Once I had this lens I was able to explore and experiment in a way I had before - in another portal opening experience, my Mum’s death.

And as I did I realised I was able to change my inner and outer world.

I could be the Mum I wanted to be even in a society that was set up for me to feel like a failure. I was able to compassionately sit with my big feelings and the bigness of the motherhood experience.

I released the burden of mum guilt plaguing my days and stopped yelling as much.

I reconnected to my body, my needs and values and practised expressing them with calm confidence everyday.

I let go of the expectations (someone else's rules) and created my own reality.

Everyday I continue to choose, to practice and to unlearn so that my world and my children’s is based in connection, choice, confidence and compassion.

No preparation is needed. Just come as you are. The sessions are designed to meet you where you’re at, explore what matters to you, and guide you through practices, reflection, and support tailored to your needs.

Mama Mentoring blends evidence-based knowledge of motherhood — sociological, somatic, psychological, and rite-of-passage perspectives — with an intuitive, body-led approach.
